CT Technologist Trainee (Non-Certified) – Radiology
Starting Salary: $31.30 to $45.33 per hour
Department: Imaging / RadiologySchedule: Full-Time, Variable ShiftsEmployment Type: Non-Exempt
The CT Technologist Trainee (Non-Certified) supports the delivery of high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging services in a fast-paced acute care environment. Under the direct supervision of a certified CT Technologist, this role assists with diagnostic imaging procedures, patient care, and image acquisition, ensuring adherence to established protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
This is a structured training position designed to develop competency in CT imaging and prepare the incumbent to obtain ARRT CT certification within 6 months of hire.
The Non – Certified CT Technologist works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for providing quality images under the direct supervision of a licensed CT Technologist. The Non – Certified CT Technologist works in support of the Radiologist, aiding in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS. The Non-Certified CT Technologist will complete all required competencies, exams, and didactics that are required to sit for and complete the ARRT CT examination within 6 months of hire. This is a training position in the CT department. The Non-Certified CT Technologist will work under the supervision of the certified CT Technologist until ARRT-CT certification has been obtained.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.
2. Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.
3. Radiology state license is required.
4. Current ARRT- RT Certification is required upon hire
5. ARRT- CT Certification obtained within 6 months of hire.
6. Must possess and maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire.
7. Proficient computer skills.
