Pay: $17–$20/hour

Marin Post Acute is looking for a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team! If you enjoy working with seniors, bringing creativity to your work, and making a meaningful impact in people’s lives, this is a great opportunity for you.

Position Overview

The Activities Assistant supports the Activity Director in creating and leading a dynamic, engaging activities program that enhances the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our residents. This role plays a key part in making each day meaningful and enjoyable for those in our care.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in planning and leading individual, small group, and large group activities
  • Help develop and maintain the monthly activity calendar and attendance records
  • Encourage resident participation in hobbies, crafts, reading, and social events
  • Support in-room activities for residents who are bed-bound or isolated
  • Assist with resident outings and transportation coordination
  • Maintain positive communication with residents, families, staff, and community partners
  • Participate in care planning, assessments, and discharge planning
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming activity space
  • Support documentation including progress notes and activity records
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives as directed

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting
  • Creative, patient, and compassionate personality
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate residents of varying abilities
