Job Description

Job duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform a variety of skilled carpentry work in the construction, installation, erection, maintenance, fabrication and repair of wooden structure and fixtures, such as architectural woodwork, millwork, trim, concrete forms, metal and wood framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, etc.
  • Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other materials according to measurements
  • Review blueprints or specifications to determine work requirements
  • Complete assigned carpentry tasks with quality workmanship
  • Operate a variety of power/manual tools and equipment used in skilled carpentry
  • Perform heavy physical labor
  • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Ability to perform all job duties and associated work functions in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and foremen
  • Knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques and procedures
  • On-the-job training offered

This position is safety-sensitive.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
  • Physically able to perform assigned tasks
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
