Bay Area Retina Associates is a group practice of highly experienced ophthalmologists specializing in cutting edge retinal treatments who are dedicated to providing exceptional eye care to our patients. BARA has 10 convenient locations in the Bay Area and has been in the industry for 35 years. Our mission is to be the premier retinal provider, for our communities, by providing high-quality state of the art medical and surgical care to our patients.
Job Summary:
Test and measures eye function to assist Ophthalmologist to diagnose and treat eye disorders and diseases, prepares and closes exam rooms at beginning and end of day, performs drug and supply inventory and stocking, supports multiple physicians across multiple offices, traveling as needed. Position will obtain consents, authorizations, and schedule follow-up appointments as needed. Position will perform scribing duties and assist with clinical trials as requested. Position may help with telephone appointments, checks patients in, out, and schedules follow-up appointments. Insurance verification, authorizations, eligibility, and co-pay collection. Cash handling and end of day reconciliation when needed.

Accountabilities: Maintaining patient satisfaction by providing professional, friendly service. Satisfactory completion of assigned competencies, to be completed within 3 months of hire and annual thereafter.
