Job Description

Northern Hardwoods in Atlantic Mine, Michigan is hiring a 2nd shift Stacker Lumber Lift Operator.

What you will do:

  • Loads and unloads stacker.
  • Loads and unloads trucks.
  • Transports sticker and green packs.
  • Inspect stack lilt, checks tires, oil, coolants, and mast operation.
  • Records pack tag numbers and destinations into computers.
  • Keeps lift clean and free of hazard.
  • Follows standard operation procedures.
  • Supply stickers to stacker when needed.
  • Performs all other duties assigned by Supervisor.
  • Builds and aligns lumber courses.
  • Sprays packs.
  • Inspect stickering.
  • Completes daily reports.
  • Records species, grade, footage, length, and width of lumber.
  • Cleans work area and keeps free of hazards.
  • Performs general maintenance such as tightening chains, changing filters, washing heaters, and greasing and oiling the stacker.

Work Schedule: Full-time; Night Shift, 10 hours; Monday thru Thursday 3:30pm to 2:00am

Minimum Qualifications:  

Education: High School or equivalent 
Experience: 6 months
