About The Role:

As a Geospatial Technician I, you are responsible for LiDAR classification, creating digital elevation models, and compiling break lines for a diverse range of projects. You will be introduced to a broad array of airborne mapping fundamentals and procedures under the guidance of senior team members.

What You Will Be Doing: 

  • Learn and classify LiDAR point clouds using TerraScan and MicroStation to meet customer requirements
  • Serve as a primary resource for LiDAR data processing on topographic and utility surveys
  • Issue all project deliverables in a timely manner to support administrative, procurement and construction activities
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments to achieve resolution of project- related tasks
  • Provide internal daily status reports
  • Other special duties as assigned

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial, with a concentration in surveying, geomatics, or GIS (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience with emphasis on LiDAR data classification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of MicroStation/TerraScan, AutoCAD Civil3D, ArcGIS, Google Earth, and other mapping software is a plus
  • Knowledge of surveying and mapping practices is a plus
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS is a plus
  • Ability to work in a safe manner and always obey safety regulations
