Havenwyck Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited and licensed psychiatric hospital, overlooking Lake Galloway in Auburn Hills, Michigan. We specialize in providing comprehensive, compassionate behavioral health services to children, adolescents and adults. It is the ultimate goal of our dedicated staff to build strength, confidence and knowledge within each patient, in hopes that they may continue learning and understanding their needs and practicing self-care for the rest of their lives.

 POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Supervisor, Environmental Services, works as a team member to provide for a high state of cleanliness and order throughout the Hospital, Residential Treatment Center and Branches.

We are seeking a dynamic and talented Housekeeper to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Cleans and services nursing units, patient rooms, baths, bathrooms, and business offices.
  • Cleans and mops floors.
  • Dusts furniture and equipment.
  • Cleans windows and window sills.
  • Empties trash baskets and arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion.
  • Uses necessary equipment and supplies in proper manner to accomplish job tasks.
  • Detects unclean areas and takes necessary action to insure that the Hospital cleaning standards are met.
  • Exercises initiative and judgment in maintaining assigned area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Prepares soiled linen for pick up by contract laundry.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Previous housekeeping work experience preferred.
  • Employees must be in good standing (employment/corrective action history, performance evaluations, etc.) to be considered for an internal transfer.
