Job Description

Position Summary:

The primary function of the Signs Installer is, under the direction of the Production Manager, Signs, to perform on-site job installations of signs in a professional and efficient manner based on the job specifications provided by the Work Order.

Essential Functions:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Responsible for assembly and fabrication of signage (cutting, woodworking, metalworking, painting, etc.). 
  • Responsible for maintaining communication with Production Manager, Signs and/or Project Manager to verify schedule prior to installation. 
  • Responsible for participating in site visits, as needed, and effectively reading plans and surveys. 
  • Responsible for maintaining communication with Production Manager, Signs regarding any special circumstances or unusual customer requests prior to leaving for an installation.
  • Responsible for possessing/maintaining a general knowledge of jobs in production (via work orders).
  • Responsible for ensuring that company vehicles are fully prepared before on-site installations by loading tools, materials, maps, directions and any other necessary equipment related to the installation process; responsible for completing daily driver/vehicle inspection and checklist.
  • Responsible for representing Graphcom in a professional and courteous manner when performing onsite installation of signs. This includes a courtesy check-in upon arrival and check-out prior to departure.
  • Responsible for installing signage consistent with work order specifications.
  • Responsible for ensuring that every job site is cleaned of debris caused by installation.
  • Responsible for working with customer and/or designated on-site job contact prior to departure to ensure customer satisfaction and receiving proper signature prior to departure.
  • Responsible for working with other crew members on-site and communicating any issues with Production Manager, Signs.
  • Responsible for ensuring that photographs of the completed installation project are taken prior to departure from job site and uploaded to the Documents folder in Cyrious Control.
  • Responsible for properly returning all materials, tools, and blankets into area for storage and ensuring they are ready for use during the next job. 
  • Responsible for posting all materials and labor to work orders daily. 
  • Responsible for taking and maintaining accurate inventory of consumables 
  • Responsible for adhering to all safety regulations including, but not limited to, state motor vehicle operation laws, OSHA, Air Lift safety procedures, Heat Injury Prevention, etc.
  • Responsible for cleaning equipment and work area; assists in maintaining a neat work area including vehicles. 
  • Responsible for completing Vehicle Safety Checks and communicate issues to GM of Signs. 
  • Responsible for ensuring the product being installed is the best quality possible.
  • Will be cross-trained and utilized in other areas of the business as deemed necessary by management.
  • Maintains the highest level of security and confidentiality as defined by company policy
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or President/CEO

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required. 
  • Previous signage or installation work experience is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers on-site. 
  • Knowledge of basic shop tools used for fabrication and installation of signs. 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Requires a valid driver’s license (no moving violations in past 3 years) and ability to obtain a valid and signed medical certification card. 
  • Exclusion from the System for Award Management (SAM) List of Excluded Individuals and Entities (LEIE) prior to hire and ongoing throughout their tenure at the company. Inclusion in the LEIE is grounds for immediate dismissal
  • Complete all required training courses upon hire and annually thereafter
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
