Job Description

Responsibilities include completing assessments and diagnosis; recovery planning; liaison with other clinical service providers; provision of treatment and crisis services during regular business hours; documentation of client progress, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Demonstrates the ability to analyze clinical needs and social situations, identifying problems and alternative courses of actions, while demonstrating multicultural sensitivity and effective communication skills. Requires willingness to be flexible, resourceful, and creative in problem solving. Minimum Qualification: Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in counseling, social work, psychology or other qualified social, behavioral or human services field. Requires licensure in one of the following: LPHA, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Ph.D. Requires willingness to be flexible, resourceful and creative in problem solving. Must demonstrate an ability to organize and present information clearly and concisely to keep the individuals, prescribers, team members, and family members informed of clinical issues. Must have a valid Texas driver's license and an acceptable driving record, as well as personal automobile liability insurance as required by the state of Texas. Knowledgeable of psychotropic medications and DSM V; working computer skills including MS Word and bilingual skills (English/Spanish), preferred.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior mental health experience preferred. Ability to communicate and work effectively in a fast-paced work setting; ability to plan, implement and prioritize assignments. Prefer bilingual skills (English/Spanish) and work well in a team setting.

Proudly Serving 15 Counties in Northeast Texas with Mental Health, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Recovery Services Lakes serves as the IDD Authority for Camp, Delta, Ellis, Franklin, Hopkins, Kaufman, Lamar, Morris, Navarro, Rockwall, Hunt, and Titus Counties. It also serves as the MH Authority for seven of the above counties. The exceptions are Ellis, Hunt, Kaufman, Navarro, and Rockwall counties, which are in the NTBHA (North Texas Behavioral Health Authority) and for which Lakes is not recognized as the Mental Health Authority. Substance Use services are provided in Camp, Cooke, Delta, Fannin, Franklin, Grayson, Hopkins, Hunt, Kaufman, Lamar, Morris, Navarro, Rockwall and Titus counties. TCOOMMI adult parole and MH services are provided in Delta, Hopkins and Franklin counties. TCOOMMI parole continuity services are provided in Hopkins, Delta, Lamar, Titus, Franklin, Morris and Camp counties.
