Job Description

Avōq is seeking a proactive and motivated coordinator to assist its team of Federal lobbyists with research and writing projects on behalf of Fortune 100 clients, major trade associations, and leading public interest groups.

WHO YOU ARE
  • You’re interested in government relations, politics, and/or public policy and looking to gain exposure and experience in a fast-paced professional services setting.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Developing and maintaining a general knowledge of Avoq’s clients and the issues that impact them.
  • Completing legislative, public policy, and other research projects as directed.
  • Coordinating the drafting and production of client publications such as issue alerts and newsletters.
  • Attending hearings and drafting summaries for clients and staff.
  • Reviewing and editing client memos and proposals.
  • Assisting with other compliance matters, fundraisers, and client events.
  • Provide additional support as needed.
YOUR EXPERIENCE

As a qualified candidate, you have experience in:

  • Internship or entry-level experience on Capitol Hill or in a government affairs setting.
  • Demonstrated interest in politics and public policy.
  • Excellent research, writing, and editing skills.
  • Experience with research tools such as Bloomberg, Politico Pro, and Quorum, as well as experience with AI tools and functions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Eagerness to learn and take direction.

The salary range for this role is $50,000 - $55,000
