Position Title: Utility Operator

Pay Rate: $21.03

Category/Shift: Hourly Shift

· 7am -3pm (1st shift)

** Some weekends are mandatory

** Some shifts required mandatory overtime Physical Location:

Griffin Box Plant 330 Hudson Rd. Griffin, Ga. 30224 

The Job You Will Perform: 

· Following all safety rules and practices;

· reading factory work orders, print cards, and other documents to learn customer

· identifying stock and products that correspond to work orders;

· performing assigned duties to insure that production needs are met;

· assisting other associates as needed;

· monitor and operate waste water system

· clean out filter press for waste water system

· monitor the starch kitchen and operations

· monitor inventory and waste water chemicals

· accurately using tape measures and other measurement and test equipment;

· inspecting, counting, stacking, and unitizing products according to customer specifications;

· identifying and segregating nonconforming (reject) products and materials;

· keeping the supervisor informed of any problems and/or unusual situations;

· maintaining work areas to plant standards of housekeeping;

· maintaining teamwork with machine crews and other associates; and

· Performing other duties as assigned by supervision.

NOTE: Utility labor is the full-time entry level position for new manufacturing associates.

· The ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler

· The ability to use basic shop math

· The ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.
