Responsibilities
As a Resident Aide, you will be a critical member of our care team, working in our Memory Care or Skilled Nursing Unit. You’ll provide hands-on daily support and compassionate care to residents to promote their independence and well-being. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility/ambulation)
- Answering resident call lights promptly and courteously
- Promoting resident dignity, individuality, and rights while encouraging independence
- Participating in shift reports and maintaining up-to-date resident records
- Supporting meal service by managing menu choice tickets and helping serve meals
- Laundering personal items for residents
- Assisting with admissions, transfers, and discharges as directed
- Following infection control and safety procedures diligently
- Collaborating with nursing staff and contributing to a calm, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in a continuing care retirement community or hospital setting preferred
- Strong background in customer service and interpersonal communication
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
