We are seeking a Sample and Conditioning Operator to work in our Bakers facility in Monroe NC. In this position you are responsible for sampling and conditioning titanium material (ingots) to meet customer expectations by using a variety of machinery. A successful candidate will demonstrate an attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work independently.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret work orders from shipping and melt department
  • Operate swing grinders, hand grinders, gas cutting torch, manual bander, and various fork trucks
  • Use drill press to sample titanium allows
  • Detect and report any defective materials or improper operations
  • Transfer ingots onto roller to begin the chamfering process to bevel the edge of the piece
  • Visually inspect the finished material before sending the next department
  • Stamping materials with proper labels
  • Maintain logs and records
  • Follow and implement all prescribed safety rules and regulations
Qualifications
