About the Role
The Returns Specialist is responsible for managing the return process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role involves inspecting returned items, processing refunds or exchanges, and coordinating with warehouse, inventory, and customer service teams.

What You Will Do

  • Process customer returns, refunds, and exchanges in a timely and accurate manner
  • Inspect returned items to assess condition and determine eligibility for refund or resale
  • Update inventory systems to reflect returned merchandise and ensure data accuracy
  • Coordinate with warehouse and shipping teams to manage returned goods efficiently
  • Communicate with customers regarding return status, issues, or discrepancies
  • Identify return patterns and report trends such as defects or recurring issues
  • Ensure compliance with company return policies and standard operating procedures
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for all return transactions
  • Support continuous improvement of return processes to enhance efficiency and reduce losses

Who You Are

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in customer service, retail, warehouse, or logistics roles
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Basic computer proficiency, including inventory systems and spreadsheets
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with ShipHero or other inventory management systems is preferred
  • Experience in e-commerce or reverse logistics is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with an analytical mindset for identifying return trends
  • Physically able to stand for long periods and handle or lift packages as needed
