The salary is commensurate with education and experience.
The Department of Theatre and Dance at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position (#107540) in theatre at the rank of lecturer. This is a one-year temporary appointment. The contract may be renewed annually based on available funding, demonstrated need, and satisfactory performance as assessed by annual evaluations. The appointment start date is August 1, 2026.
The successful candidate is expected to teach voice for the actor, introduction to theatre, and acting for non-majors.
An MFA or a master's degree in theatre or musical theatre is required by the appointment date.
Applicants with Expressive Actor Certification and experience mentoring students through theatre conference trips (such as the American College Theatre Festival) will receive special consideration.
