Job Description

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our NorLAB Production Technician position. NorLAB Production Technicians are responsible for the filling of all specialty gases, transfilling of product into disposable cylinders and preparing all products for shipment. Shipping of hazardous goods. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare high pressure and disposable cylinders for filling
  • Fill specialty gas pures to maintain inventories and meet customer commitments
  • Fill specialty gas mixtures for customers and NorLAB transfill masters to meet inventory requirements and customer commitments
  • Fill disposable cylinders to meet inventory requirements and meet customer commitments
  • Perform necessary equipment calibrations or maintenance as scheduled
  • Pull product for shipment per orders. Print necessary labels and package as appropriate
  • Accurately record information on all logs and records
  • Ship product using appropriate carriers
  • Adhere to all established procedures, policies and safety rules
  • Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary
  • Wage $20/Hr

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • One year of college chemistry and/or related work experience is desirable
  • Ability to accurately enter data into computer and acquire a working knowledge of any software applications necessary to the position
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Good math skills. Ability to set up and perform basic algebra
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials shipping requirements
  • Previous knowledge of cylinders and gases
