The Building Technician will report to the Enclosure Foreman. 

Job Summary

The Enclosure Services Technician will be responsible for completing mechanical and technical work in control enclosures. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Complete perimeter equipment mounting.
  • Install electrical conduits and raceways.
  • Power up and power down.
  • Set panels and termination cabinets.
  • Install battery systems in enclosures.
  • Assist in both loading and offloading of enclosures.
  • Control cable routing (cable pull).
  • Terminate cables into an electrical panel.
  • Non-panel termination.
  • Prepare enclosures for shipment.

Requirements

Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and well organized.
  • Experience in the use of a tape measure and good knowledge of hand tools.
  • Ability to assist and support others.
  • Additional related training preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Continuous speaking, hearing, and visual (including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus) effort.
  • Frequent standing, crouching, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and handling.
  • Commonly lifting/moving of up to 40 lbs. individually.
  • Occasionally lifting/moving 50-100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Exposure to loud noises, drilling, cutting, banging, and typical manufacturing production physical hazards.
  • Occasional warm temperatures.
  • Occasional exposure to typical manufacturing production physical hazards.
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
