Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking a Transportation/Patient Care Coordinator to provide transportation for patients to and from the facility for pre-scheduled appointments and help organize and direct patient's daily activities. 

 Transportation/Patient Care Coordinator Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide transportation for patients to and from the facility
  • Report all van maintenance problems to the Department Director
  • Assist with the patient's day to day needs and activities
  • Communicate and consult with the Department Director and other staff members regarding patient care issues and information daily
  • Maintain a clean environment for patients at all times
  • Demonstrate responsibility and sound judgment regarding patient safety

Transportation/Patient Care Coordinator Shift:

  • Monday through Friday 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or equivalent.

Experience: One (1) year of transportation services experience preferred.  Priority given to applicants with experience transporting patients.  

Licensure: Must maintain a valid as required for transportation of patients. 

Certifications: Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.
