The Email Marketing Intern will support the email marketing team for Pet Supplies Plus and Wag N’ Wash, gaining hands-on exposure to lifecycle marketing across two national brands. You’ll work in a positive, collaborative team environment where mentorship, hands-on learning, and teamwork are core to the internship experience.

Responsibilities/Qualifications

This internship is designed to provide real-world exposure to how email and SMS campaigns are planned, built, tested, launched, and analyzed – with guidance and support from the Email Marketing team.

The Email Marketing Intern responsibilities include:

• Support day-to-day execution of email and SMS campaigns under team guidance.
• Assist with basic email builds in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and SMS setup in Attentive, including proofing, testing, QA, and scheduling.
• Help ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance with email and SMS best practices.
• Assist with audience documentation, basic performance reporting, and post-campaign organization.
• Support administrative tasks such as organizing campaign assets and documentation.
• Participate in team meetings and learning sessions to gain exposure to campaign workflows and tools.
• Hands-on experience supporting real email and SMS campaigns.
• Exposure to enterprise‑level email and SMS marketing tools, data systems, and workflows used to support lifecycle marketing campaigns.
• Experience working in a supportive, collaborative team environment focused on professional growth.

PAWSOME Email Marketing Intern Candidates will have:

• - Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• - Interest in email marketing and an eagerness to learn how brands use digital channels to communicate with customers.
• - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• - Willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment.

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• - Familiarity with common spreadsheet or data organization tools.
• - Basic understanding of digital marketing, email, or SMS concepts.
• - Introductory knowledge of HTML.
