Memorial Community Health, Inc. is looking to fill the position of Pharmacy Technician. This position will be for full-time, 8- 10 hour shifts Monday-Friday with no weekends or holidays.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will utilize your expertise in LTC pharmacy, critical care, and patient service to deliver highly-quality pharmaceutical care. Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will assist and support int he daily operation of the pharmacy.

Job Duties:

  • Reviews medication orders to prepare or select for Pharmacist approval.
  • Maintains appropriate medication stock levels based on patient care needs for the pharmacy and the patient care areas including determination of appropriate levels and ordering of products.
  • Triages questions in the form of customer service.
  • Provides administrative support for the Pharmacy department.
  • Performs and maintains documentation.
  • Follows HIPAA regulations and ensures that the confidentiality of residents’ medical, personal, financial records, employee records, and organizational records is maintained.
  • Complies, understands, and enforces state and federal regulatory requirements related to the performance of Memorial Community Health operations and requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA, the Code of Conduct, the Compliance Policy, Safety and Infection Control, all department and organization-wide policies, Critical Access Hospital requirements, and Federal and State of Nebraska regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Prior pharmacy tech experience preferred
  • Successful completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification Program
  • Maintain certification by attending 20 hours of approved CE in 2-year period
  • Registered with the State of Nebraska Health and Human Services
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent computer skills
