We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our Accounting Team and broader financial operations. In this role, you’ll work across a variety of accounting functions supporting CU*Answers, its network partners, and clients.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who enjoys a mix of transactional work, process improvement, and team collaboration. You’ll also play a part in maintaining internal resources and documentation that support the organization’s accounting operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform day-to-day accounting and clerical functions, including: 
    • Accounts Payable (AP) 
    • Client billing and purchase order processing 
    • Data entry and cash receipts 
    • Bank deposits and account reconciliations 
  • Assist with month-end close and reporting 
  • Prepare and support recurring Accounting Team reports 
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation 
  • Contribute to the development and upkeep of internal accounting resources, including: 
    • Procedure and policy documentation 
    • Accounting Home Page on the Talent Source Portal 
  • Collaborate with team members and participate in team meetings 
  • Respond to evolving business needs and take on special projects as assigned 

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Equivalent work experience equal to 1-2 years of prior office experience with a focus in business administration, accounting or finance 
  • Two-year degree in a business-related field preferred 
  • 1–2 years of accounting, payroll, or related office experience preferred 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (preferred) 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams 
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
