Description
Summary: The essential responsibilities of the Carpenter include constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. This position ensures all work is completed accurately, safely, and in accordance with project specifications and building codes. This position reports to the Installed Sales Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install building materials such as wood, drywall, windows, doors and other structural components.
2. Read and interpret material specs, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
3. Construct and repair frameworks, structures, and fixtures including walls, floors, door frames, windows, and trim.
4. Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
5. Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures as needed.
6. Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
7. Maintain a clean and organize job site, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
8. Collaborate with team members, subcontractors, and supervisors to complete projects on time.
9. Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials to job sites.
10. Complete other tasks as needed when directed by the Installed Sales Manager.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time non-exempt position. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Work Environment:
This job operates primarily on residential properties, commercial properties, and construction jobsites. Employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, varying temperatures, high noise levels, dust, and construction-related hazards. Use of tools, machinery, and safety equipment is required.
Travel:
Travel up to 90% to construction and job sites. A company pickup truck will be provided. A clean driving record is required.

3. Valid Driver’s License.
Physical Requirements:

The employee is required to stand 100% of the time, occasionally lift, push, or pull material and equipment up to 100 pounds, reach with hands / arms, talk and hear. The employee will frequently walk short distances, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend. May be required to climb or balance when working on ladders, scaffolding, or elevated surfaces.
