The Position:

REPORTS TO: CSR SUPERVISOR

Summary: Our client service representatives support our efforts in providing the highest quality primary veterinary care to our patients. As the front line of communication between our clients and providers, our CSRs help to promote the practice by maintaining a client-oriented and professional work environment. CSRs are responsible for using the computer and veterinary management software, answering and directing phone calls, scheduling appointments, patient check-in and check-out, and more. They also service as liaisons between our patients and medical staff. Duties will include but may not be limited to;

  • Greet clients and pets in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner
  • Check out patients, print invoices, and receive/apply payment
  • Ensure work and reception area is kept clean and professional at all times
  • Answer phone calls and relay information to the appropriate party
  • Assist client at times of euthanasia by rooming patients, preparing paperwork and taking payments
  • Keep food and merchandise shelves stocked
  • Drawer reconciliation
  • End of day deposits
  • Complete all other tasks assigned

The idea candidate requires:

  • Above and beyond customer service skills and a positive attitude
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to deal with fast paced and stressful situations
  • Comfort with and knowledge of computer and internet skills as well as veterinary terms/procedures
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
