Job Description

The Staff Pad has partnered with Modoc Medical Center, a critical access hospital in northeastern California, to hire a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

This is a great opportunity for both experienced and newly licensed clinicians looking to grow in a supportive, mentorship-driven environment. You’ll work across outpatient, inpatient, swing bed, and skilled nursing settings, making a meaningful impact in a close-knit community.

This role offers flexible scheduling, no productivity quotas, and a strong team culture built on trust and collaboration.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide safe, effective care under the supervision of Physical Therapists
  • Support patient progress using evidence-based interventions
  • Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
  • Communicate clearly with patients, families, and care teams
  • Ensure compliance with PT practice standards, EMR use, and safety protocols
  • Participate in training, program development, and team initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Graduate of an APTA-accredited PTA program
  • Active California PTA license
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • EMR proficiency and interest or experience in outpatient, acute, or SNF settings
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
