SUMMARY

The Press Operator is responsible for set up and operations of a variety of hydraulic presses, lathes and other equipment to produce drawn and/or forged products to specification.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Operate Double acting presses and hydraulic presses.
  • Operate manual and CNC lathes
  • Operate belt and disc sanders
  • Operate Die sets
  • Apply specialized Lubrication
  • Operate part washers, vibratory machines and other cleaning equipment
  • Familiarize with precision measuring hand tools.
  • Keep work area clean and free of safety hazards
  • Operate forklift to load, unload and move tooling and material.
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • High school graduate or equivalent in work experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude, math skills
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Constant standing/walking/sitting for at least 10 hours.
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs, minimum 35 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of repetitive movement are required.
  • Constant holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s).
