The Central Receiving Facility (CRF) of Lakeview Center serves as a single-entry point for persons with mental health or co-occurring disorders from Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. The CRF is 24-hour hour continuous operations unit that serves voluntary clients as well as individuals bought to the facility under the Baker Act or Marchman Act. Services offered include but are not limited to assessment, Crisis Support/Emergency Services, Case Management, Recovery Support, medication initiation and management.

Position Summary:

The Behavior Health Technician position assists the counselors/therapeutic/nursing staff by providing clinical support to adults and children who are receiving substance abuse, mental health services or co-occurring disorders in residential programs, inpatient settings, day/evening programs, outpatient programs and/or community-based programs. This position is responsible for but is not limited to: Establishing a positive helping relationship with people receiving services. Assisting those receiving services to complete activities of daily living, including accessing needed resources, and building functional, pro-social relationships with others. Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of those receiving services. Implementing specific interventions according to the person’s treatment or service plan. Monitoring and documenting the person’s progress.

Role Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain provided CPR certification.
  • Must be able to pass provided CPI training.
  • Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families, as required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work other behavioral health programs as needed.
  • Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background
    screenings as appropriate.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.

Compensation:

Base pay ranges from $15.00 - $16.12 an hour based on experience. Shift differential pay ($2.00- $4.00) and supplemental pay (up to 8% of base pay) is applicable to certain programs at Lakeview Center, Inc.
