Position Summary:

Responsible for analyzing and monitoring credit worthiness of the bank’s commercial/ag clients. Analyzes financial statements, tax returns and bank references to evaluate the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit with the bank. Recommends credit lines within the established bank guidelines.

Duties:

  1. Create Financial Historical spreads and pro-forma cash flows. Prepares spread sheets, reports, summaries and opinions for financial officers on new, renewal and existing loans
  2. Verify that loans will meet the required underwriting criteria for requested loan product
  3. Perform credit inquiries and analyze credit reports
  4. Analyze loan data on new, renewal and existing loans
  5. Assemble loan presentation packages for loan committee
  6. Attend and participate in loan committees
  7. Maintain loan committee minutes and submit monthly report to the Board of Directors
  8. Monitor loan policy exceptions and provide data for reporting to the Board of Directors
  9. Provide technical advice and assistance to loan officers as needed
  10. Provide back-up assistance to other loan officers as needed
  11. All other job duties as assigned

Requirements

RELATIONSHIPS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Responsible to the AVP Commercial/Ag Credit Department Manager for the fulfillment of duties assigned
  • Experience in Finance, Banking or related field preferred
  • General banking knowledge, specifically in the commercial/ag lending area would be helpful
  • Basic computer skills and an attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • May be called on from time to time to participate with community organizations and community projects

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Primarily office or branch-based environment with standard business hours. Occasional travel to other branch locations or community events may be required
  • Daily extended use of banking software, secure digital platforms, and standard office equipment
  • Repetitive hand and arm movements
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed
