As a Service Porter, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the service department by ensuring a clean, safe, and organized environment. Your primary duties will include maintaining the cleanliness of customer vehicles, the service bay, and the dealership grounds. Additionally, you will assist with various tasks to support the service team as needed.

Responsibilities:

  1. Vehicle Cleaning: Wash, vacuum, and detail customer vehicles after service appointments to ensure they are returned in pristine condition.
  2. Lot Maintenance: Keep the dealership lot clean and organized by removing debris, emptying trash receptacles, and arranging vehicles in an orderly manner.
  3. Shop Assistance: Assist service technicians with moving vehicles in and out of the service bay, as well as retrieving parts or tools as requested.
  4. Customer Support: Greet customers and provide assistance with locating service advisors or navigating the dealership facilities.
  5. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment for both employees and customers.
  6. Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory levels for cleaning supplies and inform management when replenishment is needed.
  7. Special Projects: Assist with special projects or tasks assigned by service management to support departmental goals and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an automotive environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects repeatedly.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Capacity to operate cleaning equipment and machinery safely.
