COMPANY OVERVIEW: MOBIS Technical Center of North America is the Research & Development Center for Hyundai MOBIS, a Tier 1 supplier and an affiliate under Hyundai Motor Group. MOBIS produces and supplies a wide variety of automotive components to customers including component modules (chassis, cockpit and front-end module), core system, eco-friendly and DAS-mechatronics. Mobis delivers the design and development of advanced engineering, autonomous driving, infotainment, component modules, safety, brake and steering systems, lamp, ICS/electronics and software development solutions that consider the safety and convenience of our customers as well as the future.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS:

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  •  Maintenance of internal PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system for the CAD organization.
  • Create structured organization plans including access management, customer and project organization, and follow-up requirements.
  • Work with team members to understand pre-development, ongoing, and post-launch project status, and gather information related to internal and external customer functionality requirements.
  • Familiarize with internal and external customer PLM systems, identify optimizations, and create opportunities for expanded functionality and usage.
  • Work and communicate with local customers, local team members, and research engineers from Korea and/or in Korea. Project work may involve collaboration with HQ research engineers remotely or onsite.
  • Consult with the Expatriate Coordinator to enhance communication with R&D HQ.
  • Product/System focus includes Automotive ICS (Integrated Center Stack), Center Display, and related systems.

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS/ REQUIRMENTS:

  • Functional knowledge of Windows (10+) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic understanding of CAD functions, including creating sections, taking measurements, translating components, and viewing drawings.
  • Strong notation skills, including capturing VoC, documenting meeting minutes, and communicating clearly and effectively.
  • In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, tasks relating to the following area will be assigned as required.
  • Be a team player.
  • Have great attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be reliable (with reliable mode of transportation.)

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated completion of at      least one CAD course with a focus on SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX (preferred).
  • Relevant coursework or experience      supporting PLM, CAD, or engineering data management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Standard office environment with periodic onsite support at customer or internal facilities as needed.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

  • Standard business hours with flexibility based on project needs.
  •  Occasional collaboration with Korea-based teams may require adjusted meeting times.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Office work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
