What We’re Looking For
Tara MFG is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and reliability of our manufacturing equipment, building systems, and facility infrastructure.
This is an entry-level role ideal for individuals interested in developing hands-on experience in industrial maintenance. You’ll work under the guidance of experienced technicians and leadership to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support facility improvement projects.
This role is a strong fit for someone who is dependable, mechanically inclined, and motivated to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
This position is on-site in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama within a manufacturing environment. Work involves standing and walking for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and working with tools and equipment.
Schedule will be determined based on business needs, with overtime as required.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, and facility utilities
Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
Perform minor repairs and adjustments to production equipment and facility systems
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
Assist with installation, relocation, or disassembly of equipment
Perform basic facility maintenance tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, or painting
Accurately document maintenance activities and repairs
Report equipment issues or unsafe conditions promptly
Follow all safety procedures and participate in training programs
QualificationsQualifications
Required:
High school diploma or GED
Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in maintenance work
Willingness to learn and take direction
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying conditions
Preferred:
Vocational or technical training in maintenance, HVAC, or related field
Forklift experience (or willingness to be trained)
Exposure to manufacturing or warehouse environment
