Job Summary

As a Medical Laboratory Technician at Aculabs, you will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate laboratory testing. You will be responsible for conducting high-complexity testing under the supervision of qualified personnel, maintaining instruments and quality control protocols, and adhering to all regulatory and HIPAA compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and monitor high-complexity laboratory testing under CLIA guidelines
  • Maintain instruments, perform scheduled preventive maintenance, and ensure proper documentation
  • Monitor quality control procedures to ensure test accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure timely processing and completion of patient testing
  • Report results following supervisor verification
  • Identify and resolve issues that may impact test performance or result reporting
  • Maintain accurate records for maintenance, quality control, and workload
  • Communicate with supervisors to report irregularities or performance deviations

Requirements/ Education (Any one of the following will be taken into account)

  • Must have an MLT or MT certification (Bachelor's in Microbiology/Biology is a plus)
  • MD, DO, DPM with current license in the State of the laboratory's location.
  • PhD in Clinical Laboratory Science or another medically similar science field.
  • MS in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science.
  • BS in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science.
  • AS in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow laboratory protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
