Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Welding Technician - 3rd shift at our Troy, IL facility! The core hours are Sunday- Thursday, 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.. Overtime may exceed these hours and be manadatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $25.44 per hour, plus a $.50 cent per hour shift premium.

What You'll Do:

The Welding Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and precision of welded components. The technician will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols, participating in quality inspections, and collaborating within a cross-functional team of skills welders. 

In this function, you will: 

•    Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols. 
•    Perform quality inspections to ensure weld integrity and product standards. 
•    Operate an Overhead Crane to safely move materials and components. 

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• A minimum of six (6) months experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous Welding Experience
• Welding Certification

Position Success Criteria:

•    Must be able to use a tape measure and calipers. 
•    Must be able to wear PPE, including helmets, aprons, sleeves, gloves.
