Position Overview

CRNA Opportunity – New State-of-the-Art South Florida Baptist Hospital | Plant City, FL

BayCare Medical Group, the leading physician-led medical group in the Tampa Bay area, is seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join the anesthesia team at South Florida Baptist Hospital in centrally located Plant City, Florida.

This opportunity is open to both experienced CRNAs and new graduates, with BayCare’s Earn As You Learn program available to provide added financial support as you complete your training.

CRNAs at South Florida Baptist Hospital practice in a collaborative, well-supported care team model, working alongside an experienced Chief CRNA, 5 anesthesiologists, and 11 CRNAs. A strong interest or background in OB anesthesia is highly desired. The case mix averages approximately 25 cases per day and excludes neurology and cardiac cases, with spine cases being rare—allowing for a balanced and predictable clinical experience.

Call Schedule Highlights

  • Beeper call only (nights and weekends)

  • Approximately 26 night calls and 10 weekend 24-hour calls annually

  • Designed to support work-life balance

You’ll practice in a state-of-the-art facility following a $326 million renovation, featuring:

  • 146 private patient rooms

  • A dedicated 20-unit infusion center

  • Modern outpatient imaging services

  • A one-mile walking path surrounding the campus

Qualifications

- Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists (or eligible if in training)- OB Experience is strongly preferred
