About the RoleThe Sorter is responsible for evaluating and processing used clothing, shoes, and accessories at the Sorting Center. This role includes both initial sorting to identify items with resale potential and fine sorting to evaluate quality, assigning grades, categorizing by type and season, pricing items, and tagging.

Location: Cerritos, CA

Schedule:

• Work Days: Monday to Friday
• Start Time: 8:00 AM
• Duration: 8 hours per day
• Salary: $23- $25 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize products into appropriate categories by type and season
• Utilizing fashion and trend knowledge to make informed recommendations
• Assign individual pricing based on brand, condition, trend, and market value
• Maintain an organized workstation
• Some light travel
• All other duties as assigned

This role offers flexibility and variety, requiring strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different responsibilities while maintaining safe and efficient operations.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Passion for fashion with an eye for current trends
• Familiarity with popular brands, styles, and seasonal demand
• Previous experience in retail, resale, or warehouse sorting is a plus
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Knowledge of high-demand items and the ability to identify products for specialty display or pricing
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening
• Experience as a buyer is highly preferred

This position is labor-intensive and requires consistent physical exertion throughout the day. Candidates should be prepared for a physically demanding role that involves lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods as part of daily responsibilities.
