Job Summary:

Under direct supervision of the Surveillance Supervisor, the Surveillance Operator identifies, records and reports incidents that may jeopardize casino assets, employee and customer safety, and the integrity of the Casino. This includes illegal incidents, violations of policy, procedure, or gaming regulations set forth by the Casino, Gaming Commission, and NIGC.

Major Responsibilities/Activities 

  • Utilize observation techniques for best video coverage.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of all related activities in conjunction with the use of the CCTV system.
  • Observe, identify and report potential losses of revenue, including cheats, scams, errors or procedural deviations.
  • Maintain direct communication with Surveillance Supervisor of any incidents, problems and/or employee related situations.
  • Maintain confidentially of all Surveillance related information.
  • Work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Other duties as requested.

Minimum Requirements 

  • Preference given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of applicable casino or surveillance related work. May be waived for highly technical personnel.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Obtain and retain a gaming license in this jurisdiction.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, math, and analytical problem solving.
  • Proficient in Windows and ability to learn multiple applications.
  • Ability to respond appropriately and in a timely manner in emergency situations.
  • A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required. If a smartphone is not provided by the company, a candidate or employee may be provided a smartphone of the company’s choice, through a payroll deduction program.
  • All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
