Job Description

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes; to support the achievement of business goals and objectives for Bakersfield Family Medical Group (BFMG) and Coastal Communities Physician Network (CCPN). The Maintenance Technician 1 will interact with other departments, clinical personnel, and outside providers in a professional and friendly manner, to create and maintain a positive relationship with internal and external customers.

  • Moving heavy equipment and/or furniture to and from multiple offices and
  • Have knowledge of the locations of BFMG and CCPN facilities and departments, to retrieve confidential documents; while maintaining a confidential responsibility between facilities, departments, and co-workers.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and diagnose workplace hazards, by the general cleaning of work area and organization of work tools and
  • Participate/assist in trouble shooting basic/moderate work-related issues that include, but are not limited to:
    • Plumbing.
    • Electrical.
    • Painting.
    • Demolition.
    • HVAC problems.
    • Dry-wall patch and repair.
    • Cleaning and maintenance on overall appearance/aesthetics of all facilities.
  • Utilize hand tools including, but not limited to:
    • Hammer.
    • Screwdriver.
    • Wrenches.
    • Hand trucks/forklifts.
  • Retrieve work orders from
  • Learn from team members and ask questions specific to jobs that are being worked on to increase knowledge of work duties.
  • Possess personal transportation for travel to and from all facilities.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 1-year work experience.
  • Valid California Driver's License and current vehicle insurance with clean driving record.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be reasonably between $21.00 and $24.71. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
