ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Preparing or editing purchase orders from various departments
• Checking the stock inventory to meet requirements for the Resort level of business
• Placing orders with suppliers/vendors
• Maintaining a filing system within the department and updating when required
• Check in all deliveries against PO and invoices for accuracy
• Interaction with suppliers/vendors noting any delays in delivery of supplies, receipt of damaged or incorrect quantity of goods
• Receiving all food, beverage and general invoices against PO’s using Birchstreet
• Deliver all orders to proper department /outlet
• Fulfill and deliver all storeroom requisitions
• Shipping and Receiving duties
• Must be fluent in spoken and written English in order to articulate and communicate to vendors, drivers, various departments and guests

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to multi-task
• Strong knowledge of accounting procedures
• Ability to work with computers and software
• Good communication skills to interact with various departments of the company, outside contacts and knowledge of the shipping/receiving process
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate pallet jack
• Previous experience working in a similar hotel/resort setting preferred

Language Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate and work well with fellow employees and maintain a presentable appearance, behavior and manner at all times. Ability to process administrative work.  Ability to resolve guest and employee conflicts.  Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach, pull, and push with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and may occasionally be required to climb or balance. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Use telephone and copier machine.
