Salary range: $63,024 - $81,120 annually

Meeting Street is currently looking for an Occupational Therapist for Early Intervention working 40 hours weekly.

Duties:

  • Assess the functional capabilities of children ages 0-3 relative to their age-appropriate milestones for potential developmental delays or developmental risk factors.
  • Provide individual home-based and virtual services for a caseload of families with a wide range of racial backgrounds, cultures, religions, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender identity and abilities with understanding of how their life experiences may be impacted by social determinants.
  • Collaborate with the family to develop goals to address the child’s development that fit into their daily routines and play.
  • Model and coach caregivers to integrate strategies into the family’s daily routines to aid in the child meeting major developmental milestones.
  • Continuously assess the progress of your clients and collaboratively adjust the plan as needed.
  • Identify, research, and refer families to community resources to support IFSP outcomes, address immediate family needs and support natural learning opportunities.
  • Consult and partner with a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
  • Ensure that all events and documentation are completed within the program’s required timelines.

Requirements

  • Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts
  • A valid Driver’s License and ability to provide own transportation to appointments.
  • Valid pediatric CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Early Intervention services are provided in the child’s Natural Environments, which include the home, childcare settings and the community or other immediate environments natural the child and family’s environment. 
  • Able to get at child’s level, climb stairs, deal with weather conditions, lifting, bending and squatting.
