Summary of Job Description

As a Marketplace Attendant/Barista, you prepare food and beverages to established standards while maintaining cleanliness and organization. You provide friendly, efficient guest service, handle transactions accurately, and support a positive guest experience through strong communication and attention to detail.

Work Hours

  • Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.
  • Scheduling includes holidays, nights, and weekends depending on hotel events and functions.

Job Requirements 

  • Understand the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel. 
  • Must be able to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision. 
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task efficiently. 
  • Must be able to speak and understand and communicate the primary language(s) used in the workplace. 
  • Must possess excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational 
  • Must have the ability to push, pull, bend, squat, and lift regularly, if needed. 
  • Safety requirements of PPE as needed for the duty assigned and with the use of required tools and equipment. 
  • Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize, and follow up. 
  • Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment. 
  • Maintain a warm and attentive demeanor.  
  • Follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. 
  • Ability to work well under the pressure of meeting production schedules and timelines for guests' orders. 
  • Ability to transport cases of received goods to the workstation; pots and pans of food from storage/prep areas to the serving line. 
  • Ability to work in hot, noisy, and sometimes close conditions. 
  • Ability to work with all products and food ingredients involved. 
  • Ability to use all senses to ensure quality standards are met. 
  • Ability to comprehend and follow recipes. 
  • Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.

Job Responsibilities  

  • Prepare and cook food items according to designated recipes, quality standards, and food safety regulations. 
  • Ensure all food is properly handled, stored, inspected, and presented at a superior level daily.  
  • Maintain full knowledge of menu items, including food and beverage offerings such as coffee drinks, pastries, juices, and seasonal specials. 
  • Set up, stock, and maintain assigned stations, including completing opening duties (preparation lists, requisitioning supplies, and organizing work areas). 
  • Prepare food items for current and upcoming service periods, monitor inventory levels, and communicate restocking needs. 
  • Assist with requisitions and inventory counts of food, supplies, china, glassware, and silverware to ensure operational readiness. 
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all workstations, service areas, and the Marketplace at all times. 
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishware, and properly transport soiled items to the dishwashing area. 
  • Operate all equipment safely and in accordance with standards. 
  • Complete closing duties, including breakdown and cleaning of assigned areas. 
  • Provide excellent guest service by welcoming and assisting guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner. 
  • Take and manage guest orders, serve food and beverages as needed, and assist with Marketplace purchases, including operating the point-of-sale system and handling transactions accurately. 
  • Offer product recommendations and answer questions about menu items, the resort, and surrounding area. 
  • Maintain an inviting Marketplace environment by restocking products, organizing displays, and ensuring cleanliness and presentation standards are met. 
  • Follow proper cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with hotel policies. 
  • Comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, safety and security standards, and 4 Keys service standards. 
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to support smooth operations. 
  • Adhere to attendance and reliability expectations 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management. 

Compensation: $19/hour
