WHAT THE ROLE DELIVERS

This Bulk Shipper/Receiver is responsible for ensuring proper receipt and delivery of all incoming raw materials and supplies. The responsibilities for the position includes the following:  coordinate and prepare bulk shipments including hopper cars and hopper trucks; management of silos to ensure available space is maintained for scheduled production; provide support and coverage to the Warehouse Assistant  and Shipping/Receiving Coordinator; and performs warehouse duties as directed by management to ensure the safety, environmentally sound, and customer focused operations of the facility.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Coordinate bulk trucks for shipments (time, data, material, and type of trailer needed). 

  • Wash all hopper railcars. 

  • Inspect bulk trucks for contamination (residue, dirt, and water). 

  • Coordinate with the railroad for hopper car movement. 

  • Load and ship all bulk PMMA in hopper cars and hopper trucks. 

  • Collect release samples for all bulk shipments and coordinate with Q.C. 

  • Vacuum loading of bulk trucks. 

  • Complete and file paperwork for bulk shipment (bills of lading, detention slips, export documents, etc.). 

  • Coordinate with Logistics on hopper car condition and repair parts. 

  • Silo reports:  includes silo level, material made in KP, MMA and MA levels, MMA railcars on-site, hopper cars on-site. 

  • Wash and inspect silos, maintaining a log of these operations. 

  • Conduct project work associated with bulk loading methods and assist Engineer. 

  • Coordinate with KP for silo usage. 

  • Provide assistance to the Shipping/Receiving Coordinator including loading van trailers and receiving incoming material, marking and pulling loads from stock, scheduling trucks. 

  • Provide coverage for Shipping/Receiving Coordinator during their absence in accordance with MA-0007 and coverage for Warehouse Assistant in accordance with MA-80. 

  • Operate blower to transport from rail car to silo. 

  • Keeps area under and around silos clean and equipment stored properly. 

  • Primary responsibility to generate all receiving reports and distribute. 

  • Ensure that all packages are verified as to content and quantity and delivered to the proper department or employee. 

  • Assists in monthly physical inventory by "dipping" storage tanks and silos.  1. Also reports product type and quantity of any material in a rail car. 

  • Trailer reports: includes tracking full and empty trailers according to name, number, and what is being transported. 

  • Deliver materials that have been received. 

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 

  • Safety, quality, SOP, and process training as identified in the Training Plan. 

  • Technical and computer skills necessary. 

  • Practical process knowledge, preferably acquired by progression through the Molding Compound Technician and Molding Compound Assistant position. 

  • Basic problem-solving and mentoring skills preferred. 

  • Candidate must be able to detect color variation.
