A valid RBT credential and one year of related experience are required; a high school diploma or GED is preferred, but an Associate of Arts is ideal.

At TERI’s Learning Academy, we’re not just teaching— we’re helping students build the functional life skills they need to thrive beyond the classroom. We’re looking for Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) who are passionate about making a difference for students with moderate to severe behavioral needs in a supportive, school-based setting.

As a classroom aide in our nonpublic school in Oceanside, CA, you’ll work closely with educators and therapists to help students reach their individual goals— academically, socially, and behaviorally. Here, you’ll experience the consistency of a Monday–Friday schedule (8:45am – 3:45pm) with no nights, no weekends, and no travel between sites.

Your Role & Responsibilities –

  • Delivery of individually designed Behavior Support Plans and instructional plans in home, school and/or community settings as assigned.
  • Crisis intervention as needed to protect client and/or student safety.
  • Data collection and documentation of progress on Behavior Support Plans and instructional plans, documentation of behavior or other observations; incident/injury reports; and other documentation as assigned. 
  • Delivering client behavior and learning programs with fidelity and as designed.
  • Attendance at all meetings either in person, by phone, or by internet with the BCBA, Director, Behavior Team, and/or the family or meetings related to ongoing training, as assigned. 
  • Compliance with BACB code of ethics and professionalism.

Qualifications –

  • Valid RBT Credential; must have good standing with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board.
  • One-year-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination in in with special needs and experience working with individuals.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), preferred Associate of Arts.

Salary –

$30.00 Hourly

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:45am - 3:45pm
