As a Data Risk Engineer, you will be responsible for researching and analyzing data to identify data risk and execute data solutions to support Bank OZK’s data strategy. In this role, you will act as a problem-solver who can assimilate business requirements and develop data risk reports and dashboards. You will assist the Senior Data Risk Engineer with report development, and datasets to satisfy data risk requirements. You will demonstrate exceptional customer service, planning, executing, and organization skills. You will work independently, yet collaboratively, to achieve results.
Provide report analysis and development to execute data risk initiatives
Develop a thorough understanding of assigned line of business processes, data sets, and underlying system of record principles of OZK data
Generate business data that supports line of business requirements within assigned projects
Apply understanding of OZK enterprise data architecture, data platforms, and data operations in work processes and deliverables
Demonstrate understanding of data and query optimization and patterns
Utilize the data platforms to build logic and execute testing to validate data adequacy and operational effectiveness
Assist the Senior Data Risk Engineer by applying hands-on technical knowledge to assist in report development, visualization development, and use of Power BI to execute and support strategic vision of data risk initiatives
Develop line-of-business and management reporting to satisfy requirements
Develop datasets for use in data risk tools
Assist Data Risk Management partners to refine business requirements to support data applications and/or ensure reporting supports Bank OZK’s data strategy
Support environmental change management control by complying with change management standard
Assist in organizing and sourcing data for business intelligence initiatives from approved data sources to support and enable strong enterprise data management standards
Provide ongoing support for developed business intelligence solutions inclusive of reports, visual analytics, and limited data model development
Works with Risk Management team members to identify data lifecycle within process flows and identify where data risk and controls are present
Partners with Data Development teams to identify data lineage, data classification and obtain data statistics that are generally built and/or managed by data developers
Build rapport and understanding with line of business colleagues
Enthusiastically embrace, support, and model the Bank’s values and mission
Ensure compliance with internal/external regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines
Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience, required
1+ years of experience in database development, and/or business intelligence and data reporting, required
1+ years of data analysis, required
Experience in SQL Server database environment, required
Experience in reporting technologies such as Power BI, SSRS, and/or Tableau, required
Experience in ELT/ETL technologies such as SSIS, Talend, and/or Alteryx, preferred
Experience in Jira, preferred
Experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Platform, preferred
Operate customary equipment and technology used in a business environment, with or without accommodation.
