Performs a variety of entry-level safety duties and assists in the implementation of the site safety program on assigned project. Works with the Safety Coordinator and Manager to educate and train Austin Commercial project staff in federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities:

• Builds working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety representatives
• Enforces safety programs and related policies and procedures
• Creates accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents
• Attends seminars, lectures and training classes to maintain all applicable certifications in safety-related subjects
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 0-3 years safety experience in construction industry
• Current on the following training and/or certifications: OSHA 30, CPR and First Aid
• Some knowledge of construction processes and procedures preferred
• Strong communication skills and possesses the ability to have crucial conversations
• Thoroughness and reliability
• Excellent time management skills
