Reports To: Eric Johnson About the Internship: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to join our IT Department with a focus on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and business process analysis. This internship is an excellent opportunity for a college student pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field to gain hands-on experience working with ERP solutions, business workflows, and data management. SQL and coding skills are a plus and will be useful in system enhancements and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with ERP system administration, troubleshooting, and support for business users.
- Work closely with IT and business teams to analyze and document business processes.
- Support data management and reporting by writing SQL queries and performing data validation.
- Help test and document ERP system enhancements, updates, and new features.
- Collaborate with IT staff to improve ERP workflows, integrations, and automation.
- Provide basic end-user support, including training on system functionality.
- Work on ad hoc projects related to IT infrastructure, software applications, and business intelligence.
- Document system configurations, workflows, and troubleshooting steps.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of ERP systems and business processes (e.g., finance, supply chain, HR).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications (Plus but Not Required):
- Familiarity with SQL and the ability to write simple queries.
- Exposure to coding languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#) for automation or system integration.
- Understanding of data structures, reporting, and business intelligence tools.
- Prior experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
