As a finance intern you will work with a team on a wide range of finance activities to support the Antenna Systems business. We help run a profitable and cashflow positive business area. From FP&A to billing and cash collection. We partner with all functional areas of the business to help guide strategic decision making.
Work includes but is not limited to FP&A, cost reporting, billing, month end closing processes (such as accruals), labor reporting, and various other ad hoc reporting. You will be exposed to navigating an ERP system to generate billing and pulling various reports. This intern will also be introduced to program cost tracking (performance to budget, ad hoc reporting, etc)
This is a structured summer internship focused on a defined operational improvements, such as process standardization and inventory accuracy at the Pendergrass site. The program is designed to deliver a measurable outcome while intentionally creating hands on opportunities for existing FAs to build mentoring, training, and people leadership skills. The intern will gain practical exposure to real business processes, guided by FA mentors, and will complete a documented project with clear deliverables and recommended improvements.
Internship Program Details:
You will work onsite at a Viasat office location for the duration of your internship. Viasat embraces a flexible work environment and onsite/hybrid work is determined by individual roles and teams.
Housing and relocation assistance are available to interns pending eligibility.
To ensure equity across our intern population, intern compensation is pre-determined based on a variety of factors including: role, location, and final graduation date. Intern compensation is non-negotiable.
Requirements:
Internship Dates: You must be available to work 40 hours/week for the full duration of the internship program as outlined in the cohort dates below. Limited exceptions may be granted. Viasat offers two options based on semester and quarter academic calendars:
Cohort 1: May 18, 2026 – August 14, 2026
Cohort 2: June 22, 2026 – September 18, 2026
Citizenship: This position requires U.S. citizenship
Additional:
Entry level with some basic finance and accounting knowledge
Attention to detail and an eagerness to learn will be key.
Intermediate experience in Excel (vlookup, pivot tables)
Ability to listen and take good notes
