A Pharmacy Technician contributes to AHF by demonstrating the competencies of a Level I Technician as described in the Scope of Practice and Responsibilities found in the AHF Pharmacy Policy, Procedure and Training manual, in addition to the specifics of the job classification below.
A Pharmacy Technician enhances the reputation of AHF by being sensitive to the “stigma” of HIV and associated comorbidities, understanding the difficulty of treating chronic diseases, barriers to care, and the importance of patients’ needs to maintain anonymity and privacy.

The Pharmacy Technician will work as a part of a close knit team to establish and maintain good working relationships with healthcare providers, staff and referral sources to facilitate the exchange of patient demographics and medication treatment plans.
Licenses/ Certifications: state pharmacy technician license (if applicable), PTCB, IMZ, CPR preferrable.
