Are you a current college student majoring in Finance?  If so, Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is looking to hire a Finance Summer intern for their executive office building in Lake Forest, IL.  This opportunity will provide some practical Mill Finance responsibilities and a glimpse into the variety of operations within our Corporate Finance Department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Your primary role will be to support the Mill Finance and Accounting Departments by assisting with a variety of assignments and projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers
  • Participate in intern development activities and team meetings
  • Participate in a summer visit to one of PCA’s paper mills to gain firsthand exposure to manufacturing and finance operations.

Educational Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must be a currently enrolled college student majoring in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other applicable major and have completed their sophomore year.
  • A minimum grade point average of 3.0/ 4.0 is required and you must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.

Abilities/Skills: 

  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and enjoy a systematic approach to problem solving.
  • Candidate must display maturity and a high level of professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word is required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Salary range for position: $25.00 - 30.00 per hour.
  • Paid Holidays.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
