Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of a Building Structures (Aviation, Transit and Mission Critical) focused team and reporting to a Director of Building Structures.  The position will be located in the Chicago office.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Familiar with a wide variety of structural analysis and design software.
• Conduct existing surveys and document the main structural systems and existing connections.
• Perform analysis and design of structural systems for a variety of buildings and materials using building codes.
• Assist in the direction, coordination, planning, and completion of projects with in-house staff as well as other design professionals including Architects and other Engineering disciplines. 

What your experience looks like

• Studying Structural Engineering from a US accredited university required (Studying towards Master’s degree preferred).
• Good ability at using structural analysis software.
• Experience with existing structures, building modification, and/or restoration a plus.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, is required.
• Proficiency in REVIT, is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite of programs is required.
• Positive team player.
• Self-motivated to meet deadlines
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meets deadlines, and work collaboratively on multiple projects at once.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Design and analysis experience in reinforced concrete, masonry, and steel.

The hourly range for this role is $21 to $25. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.
