Job Description

Join Our Team as a Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.


Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

  • Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

  • Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

  • Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

  • Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

  • Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate

  • Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

  • Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab


What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required

  • In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

  • Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices

  • Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

  • Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
