What will you do in this role?

  • Assist the customer in defining their transportation needs. Act as a consultant to find the right vehicle to meet those needs, and address customer concerns which stand in the way of a vehicle purchasing decision.
  • Follow our sales process and embody the CarShop Philosophy. The CarShop Sales Consultant operates from our values of integrity, teamwork, and caring for the customer.
  • Answer sales calls and respond to internet inquiries.
  • Greet customers in the dealerships and on the lot.
  • Build rapport with customers to build a base of referrals to establish customer network.
  • Provide a quality customer service experience to our valued customers
  • Continuously contribute to a positive and encouraging atmosphere, with readiness to assist customers and fellow associates in the delivery of our products and services.
  • Follow up with existing customers to confirm their satisfaction and generate leads.​
  • Be exposed to learning operations and have the opportunity to grow and advance in their career.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Light Work- lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time and/or frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

This position requires a good deal of walking or standing, 50 percent of the time or greater will stand and move throughout the dealership facility (lot, showroom, service department, offices) for most of the shift

This position may include prolonged periods of sitting with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls

This position requires climb, stoop, and kneel

This position requires the ability to hear and talk

This position requires the ability to have sufficient foot/hand/eye coordination to safely drive a vehicle

Will spend time out-doors, under varying climate conditions, subject to the elements, and may experience extreme heat and extreme cold and will also spend time indoors in air-conditioned areas

During winter months, will assist in cleaning vehicles from snow if applicable to the local climate

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Schedule may vary from week to week depending on operational needs.

Works evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Required Education and Experience

 No prior experience or training is required

 High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Education and Experience

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Additional Eligibility Qualifications (Certification/Licenses/Registrations)

Valid Driver's License

Driving Record the meets insurance requirements and company policy

Current and active Sales License, in states where applicable
